February 2026 HNA Newsletter — Highland Neighborhood Association

Hello Highland!

Thanks to everyone who made it out to our February meeting last week.

Melissa Shact gave an excellent presentation on native plants, which can be found here. Anyone planning on doing any spring planting this year should take a look.

We also heard from two candidates for Travis County Commissioner’s Court Precinct 2, Amanda Marzullo and Brigid Shea. Reminder for everyone that early voting ends this Friday, February 27th, and election day is Tuesday, March 3rd. More information and polling locations can be found here.

Also, I encourage everyone to join us for It’s My Park Day at Highland Neighborhood Park, on Saturday, March 7th from 9am to noon. Register here or with the QR code below.

And lastly, we encourage everyone to take the Highland Neighborhood Park survey, which will help us prioritize new features for the park.
