Neighborhood Watch

One of the primary purposes of a neighborhood association is the neighborhood watch.  Recently, there have been a few problems in areas nearby and in our neighborhood.  REMEMBER if you see anything out of the ordinary or something that doesn’t look right to you at your neighbors or nearby, do not hesitate - CALL THE POLICE at 911 or 234-1212. They are only a phone call away.

Your Neighborhood Website

Welcome to www.highlandneighborhood.org, the official website of the Highland Neighborhood Association.  Our goal for the site is to serve as a communications tool for the Association to announce neighborhood events and to have a quick way to dispense information to the residents of our neighborhood.  If you have information that needs to be dispersed to the neighborhood, email webmaster@highlandneighborhood.org and we will get your information on the web as quickly as possible.

Potential Dog Park

A group of downtown citizens are interested in raising funds for a dog park, potentially to be located in East End Park.  The map below shows the area of their proposal.  The proposal has been presented to the Parks and Recreation Department and is under consideration.  All funds for such a facility would be privately raised.

The area in pink is currently being considered.  Drawing includes a new sidewalk from the parking lot below the tennis court (far right).  Forest Avenue is at the top of the picture.
